Dr. Haifaa Malaekah is an assistant clinical professor of Surgery at Princess nourah bint Abdulrahman University. In addition to a faculty position, She also serves as a consultant of General and Colorectal surgery at the surgical department, king Abdullah bin Abdulaziz university hospital, PNU since 2017. She is a director of the pelvic floor dysfunction unit at KAAUH, PNU.
Dr. Malaekah is a certified simulation educator, acquired a clinical simulation fellowship from McGill University 2016. She has an interest in professional development using simulation. She holds the position of director of professional development at the simulation and skills development center, PNU from 2018 to 2019. She actively participates in the integration of simulation in the undergraduate curriculum at PNU.
She has an interest in medical research and research-related simulation. She has several publications. A member of the IRB committee at Dr. Suleiman Al Habib Medical Group, a member of the surgery research committee.
She completed a 5-year general surgery residency-training program and was certified as a general surgeon in King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. In addition, she obtained a Master's degree in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics. She accomplished 2-Y of fellowship in colorectal surgery in 2015, University de Montreal and a 1-year fellowship in surgical simulation, McGill University, Canada. She continued working at McGill University as a postdoctoral fellow for 6 months. She has an interest in medical education, simulation, Interprofessional education, patient safety, and researches. And she is eager in using her skill and knowledge in research and improving medical education.

Simulation operation specialist who has a bachelor degree in biomedical engineering, Engr.Abdulmajeed worked as the project manager for the SSIH(Society of Simulation in Healthcare) accreditation that was recently gained by SSDC(The Simulation and Skills Development Center).
